Getting St. Lucia citizenship by investment involves a clear and detailed procedure. Here's how it works:
The first step is a preliminary due diligence check. This helps identify any potential problems with your application. When you clear the preliminary screening, you will have to get the required documents. This will include your identification, financial documents, and other supporting documents. We will also help you make sure everyone is notarized, translated if necessary, and filled out according to the program's instructions.
After preparing your documents, you'll submit everything to the St. Lucia Citizenship by Investment Unit (CIU). The CIU will conduct a thorough review of your application, including background checks for you and any family members over 16. You may need to attend an interview, which can be done online or in person, and is conducted in English.
Once your application is approved in principle, the CIU will notify you. At this stage, you need to fulfill the investment conditions within 90 days. You can choose from contributing to the National Economic Fund (NEF), purchasing government-approved real estate, investing in government bonds, or supporting a business or infrastructure project.
After fulfilling the investment conditions, you'll receive your naturalization certificate. This confirms your St. Lucian citizenship. The entire process typically takes around four weeks from the approval date. Once you're officially a citizen, you can apply for your St. Lucian passport. Your documents will be delivered to your address by courier.
